Goldcrest High’s holistic model of education encompasses more than just books, tests and classrooms. It strives to lay emphasis on not only academics but beyond. The School’s challenging academic approach, well trained and committed faculty, outstanding athletic program and excellent performing arts program provide a strong foundation to develop skills and foster an enriching learning environment.

Foundation Stage (5 Years)

The school has an environment that is caring, positive, orderly and safe. The Foundation Stage aims at developing the full potential of the young learners through first-hand experiences and carefully structured play activities. Children learn in a variety of ways – through hands on experiences, experimentation, reading, discussion, asking, listening, thinking and reflecting, and expressing oneself in speech, movement or writing – both individually and with others. Their intellectual, social, emotional and physical development is catered to by skilled and caring staff, through a balanced curriculum and cross-curricular activities.

Preparatory Stage (3 years)

In the Primary grades focus is more on “Theme-based learning” and various subjects are incorporated into the central theme. Latest strategies are adopted in the teaching and learning process so that students are keenly involved in developing language and numeracy skills. Projects and presentations along with class quizzes and tests allow for formative assessments. The activities are closely monitored and structured to encourage student creativity and self-learning.

Middle Stage (3 years)

We believe that in order to prepare our students for the fast changing world, we need to focus on experiential learning to develop 21st century skills. Middle stage focuses on critical learning objectives. We incorporate hands-on learning and training techniques as an integral part of our teaching strategy to connect learning experiences to real world situations. These experiences also provide an opportunity to develop skills like collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving and prepare the students for the future challenges of life.

Secondary Stage (4 Years)

GRADES - 9 TO 12

This stage will cover two phases: Grades 9 and 10 (ICSE) and Grades 11 and 12 (ISC). In Grade 9, students are given choices in Group 2 and 3 as per the ICSE specifications. Both formative and summative assessments are taken into consideration in order to determine the level achieved by a student in academics. The focus is on concept building and a comprehensive understanding of the content. The assessments are designed to make the students think and express themselves.
